Quality Control, Testing and After-Sales

Tools are checked while they are assembled and again before they are packed. This page sets out what is checked, what we can show you before shipment, and how warranty and spare parts are handled.

Control Points in the Build

Four checks between components arriving and cartons closing.

Check 1

Incoming components

Motors, cells, switches, chucks and housings are checked against the specification for the model before they go to the line.

Check 2

During assembly

Staff check fit and function at the station: gearbox action, switch travel, chuck or anvil movement, and cable and terminal seating.

Check 3

Finished tool test

The motor is run, speed and torque settings are switched through, forward and reverse are checked, and the LED and fuel gauge are confirmed.

Check 4

Before packing

Battery and charger are paired with the tool, kit contents are counted, and labels, barcodes and carton markings are checked against the order.

Testing

What We Test on the Tool

Testing covers the parts a buyer hears about when something goes wrong: the motor, the switch, the battery pairing and the charger.

Motor run test on the assembled tool
Speed and torque stage check, forward and reverse
Chuck, anvil or blade guard operation
Battery seating, fuel gauge and charger pairing
Visual check on housing, labels and accessories
Information required: test equipment list, sampling rate, run-in duration, insulation and safety test details

Certificates held for tools, batteries and chargers, and the markets each certificate covers, are supplied on request with the certificate numbers and issuing bodies.

Information required: certificate list, numbers, scope and expiry

Warranty

Warranty period and coverage for tools and battery packs are set out in the sales contract for each order.

Information required: warranty period for tools, batteries and chargers

Spare parts and after-sales
