Straight answers to the questions distributors, importers and private-label brands ask before ordering from Fengbao. Where an answer depends on the model or the destination market, we say what has to be confirmed.
Ordering, Samples and OEM
What is the MOQ for Fengbao power tools?
For private-label OEM orders, the standard MOQ is generally 300 units per model and configuration. Smaller trial orders may be available under the Fengbao or Kayleo brand, depending on the products and quantities.
The 300-unit figure applies to one model in one colour and configuration. A brand that wants three models needs 300 of each, not 300 in total.
Can I place a trial order before committing to a full OEM run?
Yes. Smaller trial orders with mixed models may be possible, depending on the project.
Trial orders are normally supplied under the Fengbao or Kayleo brand and do not include private-label customization such as your logo, colour or packaging. That customization starts with a full OEM order at the standard MOQ.
Can Fengbao manufacture tools under my own brand?
Yes. Fengbao builds cordless tools under customer brands for distributors, importers and private-label brands, starting from our existing brushless platform.
Branding is applied to the tool, battery and charger, with your packaging, labels and manuals. The motor, battery and charger stay in current production, so development is limited to appearance, marking and packing rather than a new tool design.
What can be customized on a private-label order?
Depending on the project, OEM customization may include:

Can I mix models and colours within one OEM order?
Within one OEM order, each model should normally use the same colour and configuration. Different models can be combined in one shipment, but each model still needs to meet its own MOQ.
Mixed-model flexibility is greater on trial orders under the Fengbao or Kayleo brand, where the tools are not customized.
How do I get samples, and are they free?
Samples are available and are charged at normal sample pricing. Sample and shipping costs are normally paid before the samples are sent.
For a later qualified commercial or OEM order, the agreed sample-related costs may be credited back, depending on the final commercial arrangement. Samples are not unconditionally free.
How long does OEM production take?
Standard production lead time is generally around 35 days after the OEM sample is approved and the final specifications are confirmed.
Artwork design, packaging development, technical discussion and sample confirmation happen before this period and are not included in it. Actual lead time varies by project, and we confirm it in the quotation. The manufacturing page shows how an order moves from specification to shipment.
How are samples and production orders packaged?
Samples normally ship in standard packaging or a plastic tool case, depending on the model.
Commercial OEM orders can use customized retail boxes and outer cartons with your branding, depending on requirements and the order quantity.
Batteries, Chargers and Product Platform
Which battery platforms does Fengbao use?
Fengbao builds its cordless range on three platforms:
Choosing one platform for a range lets your customers share batteries and chargers across the tools they buy from you. Each model page in the current range shows its voltage.
Are Fengbao batteries interchangeable between tools?
Within the same platform, compatible tools share the same battery packs and charger. Compatibility depends on the exact model and platform, so it is confirmed model by model.
Batteries are not interchangeable across platforms: a 16V pack does not fit a 20V/21V tool, and a 20V/21V pack does not fit a 40V tool. When you send us a model list, we confirm which tools share which packs.
What battery capacities are available?
On the main 20V/21V platform, common capacities may include 4.0Ah, 5.0Ah, 6.0Ah and 9.0Ah. Availability depends on the model and configuration.
Battery capacity is one of the configuration items agreed in the quotation, so state the capacity you want for each model or kit.
Do you supply chargers for 110V and 220–240V markets?
Yes. European charger configurations may support 220–240V, and suitable 110V configurations for North America may also be available, depending on the charger and model.
Plug type and charger voltage must always be confirmed before production, because they are set for the destination market and cannot be changed after the order is built.
Certifications and Compliance
What certifications are available for Fengbao tools?
Available documentation can include CE, EMC, EAC, UN38.3 and SDS/MSDS. Not every certification applies to every product.
Certification scope depends on the exact tool model, the battery, the charger, the configuration and the destination market. Tell us the models and the market, and we confirm which documents exist for that combination.
Does one certificate cover the tool, battery and charger together?
Not necessarily. Tool, battery and charger documents may be separate, because each is a different product with its own applicable standards.
When you request documentation, ask for the tool, the battery and the charger by model so that the set you receive matches the configuration you are ordering.
Do lithium batteries come with UN38.3 documentation?
Lithium batteries may require a UN38.3 Test Summary and an SDS/MSDS, depending on the shipping method and the destination. These documents are provided where they apply to the battery being shipped.
Ask for them at quotation stage if your forwarder or destination customs will need them, so they are prepared with the order rather than afterwards.
Shipping and Logistics
What shipping terms do you offer?
The standard export term is generally FOB Ningbo. International freight, destination customs clearance and destination charges are normally arranged by the buyer or the buyer's freight forwarder unless otherwise agreed.
Other terms can be discussed for a specific order, but FOB Ningbo is the basis on which quotations are issued.
Can you deliver to my forwarder or consolidation warehouse in China?
Depending on the order, domestic delivery to the buyer's freight forwarder or consolidation warehouse in China may be possible.
This suits buyers who combine goods from several Chinese suppliers into one container. Give us the warehouse address and the receiving requirements when you place the order.
Can you send samples with lithium batteries by air?
Lithium battery air freight is more complicated than sea freight and may require a specialized dangerous-goods freight forwarder.
For small sample shipments that include lithium batteries, the buyer may need to arrange their own qualified freight forwarder. Tell us at the sample stage whether you have one, and we prepare the battery documents the forwarder asks for.
Who handles customs clearance at the destination?
Destination customs clearance and destination charges are normally handled by the buyer or the buyer's freight forwarder, in line with FOB Ningbo terms.
Fengbao prepares the export documents on the China side. If your customs broker needs a specific document format or certificate, list it before shipment.
Warranty, Spare Parts and Payment
What warranty do you provide?
The standard warranty is generally 12 months, subject to the final agreed commercial terms.
Warranty handling for a distributor is usually agreed together with spare-parts supply, so that confirmed defects can be resolved locally rather than by returning tools to China.
Do you supply spare parts?
Yes, spare parts may be supplied. For larger orders, recommended spare parts may be included with the order or supplied together with it, depending on the arrangement.
Replacement parts for confirmed defects may also be arranged with subsequent orders. Ask for the recommended spare-parts list when you confirm the models.
How do I pay, and how do I confirm the bank details are genuine?
Payment instructions are confirmed through the formal Proforma Invoice (PI). Pay only to the official bank account stated on the Fengbao PI.
If you receive bank details by any other route, or the account on a PI changes, confirm with your Fengbao sales contact by WhatsApp or a known email address before sending funds. For samples and trial orders, payment is generally required before shipment.
